Senior Network Engineer - Field Engineer

Our clients depend on us to be their "go-to" team when they're in a technology jam or planning their IT strategy. To meet this ever-growing need, we're looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer who possesses a solid balance of technical problem-solving and people skills.
Reporting to the Client Service Manager, the Senior Network Engineer will provide hands-on management of multiple client networks of various sizes and levels of complexity. Since our clients rely on Network Builders as their sole technology resource, this position requires handling a full range of tasks, from server troubleshooting to user desktop issues to WAN design and implementation. The Senior Network Engineer must also be able to plan projects and provide superior service consistently.
The individual we seek enjoys handling challenges of all sizes and finds reward in helping businesses big and small make the most of their technology. In addition to being well organized, efficient, and able to work with limited supervision, the candidate must possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Time management ability is a must.

Requirements for this full-time position include:
-A minimum of 5 years in the industry, including at least 2 years in a technology consulting environment
-Extensive hands-on experience with Windows 2000/2003 Server and 2000/2003 networks, including installation, maintenance, and support
-Current MCSE certification preferred with heavy Exchange expertise
-CCNA certification preferred
-Extensive experience with implementing and maintaining LAN/WAN technology
-Some Novell experience and Linux knowledge a plus but not required
-SQL Server knowledge a plus
-Familiarity with Citrix administration a plus
-Solid Backup Exec experience
-Willingness to travel to client locations throughout the Central Valley area on a regular basis to provide on-site support and consulting - car is required
-Must be a team player and have the ability to deal with clients one-on-one via verbal and written communication
